MIASMA 2 "cold and clear at the Higher elevations" is their second CD. It's
about Nature and man, Man and woman, Girl and bug; Music that crawls into
you with a mean sense of humour.
The first Davies & Gut CD, "MIASMA", (Moabit,1993 Europe/1994 Canada), is a
thematic collection that uses seductive imagery,visceral sound, and
intellectual toughness to evoke fantasies and the tension between reason
and desire.
Gudrun and Myra have been working together in sessions and performances in
Germany and Canada since they met in Berlin in 1991. In additions to mixed
media concert performances and installations in Europe, they have written
and appeared in two large cast feminist theatre productions in
Canada:"Miasma, a Butoh Opera" with Japanese Butoh choreographer Hiroko
Tamano.(Banff Centre, 1992),and "Miasma, Stupid as a Rose", produced by
Maenad Theatre Co,(Calgary Centre for the Performing Arts,1996).
