Revolution's new kite, The Supersonic

Well, people seemed to like the detailed pics I took of my new Rev Supersonic (hereafter referred to as a Rev SS) so while I was down at vanier today, I snapped a few more, showing some specific details and differences...

Front view my Revolution Supersonic Back detail of Rev SS, notice the plethora of vertical spars...

The immediate first impression is either [A] Where did the points go, or, [B] FOUR vertical spars? Also immediatly apparent is the tightness of the sail on the frame itself.

Side view, note the SLE that juts back from the front Further detail of the gap between the spars and the front of the kite

Then of course, there is the sort of odd way that the SLE (super leading edge) really juts out form the back of the kite separating the tops of the spars from front of the kite. Undoubtedly part of what contributes to it's wing like performance.

SLE end caps, which fit INSIDE the SLE Rod width comparision, top rod being the SLE...mammoth! MUCH stiffer.

The new 1.5s also sport this new rod system as well. Utterly reduces the tendency for Revs to bow under heavy forward pressure.

Bottom detail, front. The bridle attaches to BOTH bottom spars Another view of the dual bottom spar connection...

Part of what gives this kite it's astounding reverse abilities is the use of TWO contact points for each side of the kite. Both spars are tied together, so when one pulls on the bottom lines, there is four separate places pulling this kite in reverse. It can literaly be yanked across the sky backwards with no wing flips.

Logo shot...Kinda dark really, in comparision to previous Rev logos One last shot of the Rev SS, a little blurry...
